With the start of the String Poet Studio Series, the Long Island Violin Shop in Huntington has become a haven for Long Island’s poetry community.
– The New York Times

String Poet is pleased to present the Studio Series, a performance series that strives to integrate poetry and music, pairing great lyrical poets with professional musicians.  Events are directed and hosted by String Poet founder and editor Annabelle Moseley, a prominent poet, writer, and teacher. The Studio Series is in affiliation with the stringed instrument studio of Luthier Charles J. Rufino. Mr. Rufino is a classically trained violin-maker who hand-makes his own internationally acclaimed stringed instruments.  He has also become a patron of the Long Island arts scene, sponsoring and hosting concerts, lectures, Master Classes, and a series of poetry readings (including the Studio Series) at his Huntington artistic enclave.
