Winter’s Bonsai

Colder before the sun fully sets
Though it does nothing of the sort
flying around so far off that
as we orbit and revolve
the sun from our point
     of view goes around us
seeming to rise in the East, setting
in the West – like other ideas
standing beside this small, bare tree

  1. Wonderful poem. Holds the opposite simplicity and largesse of the universe.
